Funeral Costs

A full scale of charges is provided from the very simplest to the most elaborate. Because funeral arrangements are entirely a matter of personal need and preference the only sure way of obtaining specific information is by discussion with the funeral director.

Whilst arranging the funeral, we will advise you on all costs and charges to be incurred, culminating in a full written estimate that should be agreed and signed by both parties.

The funeral account itself will be divided into two separate parts, the Funeral Directors charges and the Disbursements.

The Funeral Directors charges are our professional fees and include;

Removal of your loved one to our chapel of rest

Hygienic Treatment (Embalming) and the dressing of your loved one in their own clothes (if required)

Provision of a fully furnished coffin suitable for burial or cremation

The Funeral Director, Pall Bearers and hearse on the day of the funeral

Making all necessary arrangements

The preparation and submission of letters of confirmation to client and officiating minister (where applicable), all incidental expenses, telephone calls etc.

Preparing and submitting of all necessary documentation to the correct authorities

Reception and care of floral tributes

Reception and forwarding of charitable donations

Providing a 24 hour service for the assistance of clients up to the time of the funeral and an advisory service thereafter.

The Disbursements are the fees we pay out on behalf of you and/or the family, which include doctor’s fees (where appropriate), the crematorium and cemetery fees and the parochial fees. We have no direct control over these fees but our written estimate will detail an approximation of costs for you.
